Street Art Tour Culture Connect provides a wonderful experience to visit the artwork and understand more about the culture and social history of Cape Town. The Street Art Tour that I attended with Kate was a fascinating experience and full of some beautiful artwork.

A wonderful way to see Cape Town centre…. We had a wonderful afternoon in the company of Kate showing us around the city of Cape Town. You see so much more with a person with local knowledge, but to do it with Kate was an added pleasure given her extensive knowledge and infectious enthusiasm for the city.
She will also tailor your tour for your interests and took us to some amazing unusual places.
Thanks again Kate, we really enjoyed our tour
Hope the Proteas are still going

Fascinating and surprising These tours are not to be missed. They are interesting informative fun and well researched. As a local I’ve learned so much about my favorite city and plan to do whatever is offered by Kate and her culture connect group.

Eye-opening street art tour in Salt River We took a walking tour around Salt River's street art scene - what a revelation in my own city! So much colour and vibrancy in an otherwise hard-knocks neighbourhood. Kate has a light but lively and informed approach. We walked in autumn, starting at 4.30pm and ending just as the sun went down. It was really great to walk these streets in a group with a guide who knows her way. We felt safe and I loved seeing the art live alongside the real life of the streets - it was Ramadan and the many Muslim residents were waiting for sundown so they could break their fast. Highly recommended!

Culture Connect Castle Tour A really interesting and enjoyable tour of the Castle in Cape Town, organised by Culture Connect with Jeanne Bonnema as the tour guide. Jeanne showed us several things that I did not know about, in spite of me having visited the Castle many times over the past 50 years. The tour ended with a visit to the Cape Muslim & Slave Heritage Museum and a wonderful light meal arranged by Igshaan Higgins, the founder of the CM&SHM. All in all a great day out.

Excellent Tour Experience and Cultural Exchange Kate is a great organizer of trips in and around Cape Town. She has the connections to bring together historians, architects, and other experts to learn about the city. We have really enjoyed the experience of her tours (History of the City, Art Deco, & Castle) and would highly recommend. They are great for locals who want to know more and for tourists who don't want to miss out on key elements of what makes Cape Town unique. Kate make it easy to work with her and is flexible and very knowledgeable.

The hottest walking tour in Cape Town this weekend - 30 degrees C plus and plenty of hot artworks. I thouroughly enjoyed the walking tour with Kate Cane-Briggs from Culture Connect SA on Saturday, even though walking through an urban streetscape in 30degrees C was not the most ideal way to explore Salt River and its wonderful street art and murals. We started earlier than usual to avoid the mid day scorcher and must have viewed about 100 different artworks, some of which are very large and cover the full facade of houses and factory buildings. A highlight for me as Landscape architect, was to see how many residents had trees in their gardens and I noticed that many of the murals had a nature theme, with plenty of plants, animals, insects, wildlife and birds. We started and finished a local bakery where the fare was excellent and iced coffee was produced to cool us down.

Walking, City History Tour Kate in collaboration with Leslie Cox, the amazing Tourist guide and expert in "Cape Town" history guided us around the city on foot. We visited key areas, mounuments, and buildings that were instrumental in laying the historical & political foundation of Cape Town from its discovery and how it evolved over centuries in becoming one of the most loved and favorite destination cities in the World. This tour only scratches the surface of Cape Town's rich and diverse culture and history and will pique your interest in further immersing yourself in all that is on offer. Highly recommended for both first-timers to Cape Town as well as locals.
