Nadja Daehnke has been at the helm for over a year of this, Cape Town’s favourite house museum. , in Rosebank by the University of Cape Town, her employer. She will show us round and explain developments – some subtle (like maintenance), others dramatic such as the permanent educational space upstairs, reading room (pictured) and reception.
Paintings by Irma Stern are worth more than any other South African painter. Her house is full of them, some in the archive which we’ll have a glimpse off – there will be a special display for us.
You can visit Thurs, Fri and Sat – best to book in advance as it is only six visitors at a time.
Cost for our special experience: R250 for pre-pay by Tues, then R300, includes admission, refreshments, display from the archive just for us and info pack.
